*Sees Barbie* *Instantly puts on pink*

I had a couple of Barbies growing up but it was my best friend that had an entire dresser full of them and all the accessories. We would play hours. It was an interesting point the movie made in the opening scene, so many of the dolls I played with were baby dolls, and the imanginary game was being a mom. (The turn of the century technology where they would pee & poop!) There’s of course nothing wrong with it, but I do think dolls like Barbie and American Girl (#Molly4life) had us exploring where else outside of motherhood imaginary play could take us. 

I really enjoyed the Barbie movie. It was so magical seeing all the details come to life, particularly all of the fashion, seeing things like the dream house and car. And of course the best part, women in charge. 

I’ve never been anti-pink, and I do have a couple sweaters that are, but after seeing Barbie it gave me a new appreciation for a pink outfit. I enjoy a pop of color via handbag if going all in isn’t your thing.
